- Fasteners: Intertecnica offers 17 series of fasteners (three side-mounted series for cold room doors, two side-mounted series for small doors, two series of panic bar devices, three series of handles for sliding doors, and so on).
The different series of fasteners are designed to be installed on flush, semi-rebated and overlapping doors. They include the 5000 and 7000 overlapping door fasteners, which have always been among the most popular in the Intertecnica catalogue, and the new 6000 series rotating fastener, which is particularly suitable for very low-temperature cold room and blast chiller doors.
All Intertecnica fasteners are made of high-strength composite materials, can be mounted either on the right or left side of the door and are equipped with a Europrofile cylinder lock with key. They can also be produced in an antimicrobial version on request.
In the design phase, special attention is paid to the function and ergonomics of the components, since the fasteners are visible and therefore have a strong impact on the final appearance of the door. - Hinges: The 18 series of Intertecnica hinges cover the entire range of hinged cold room doors (flush, semi-rebated or overlapping) and can be installed on door panels of any thickness. They can therefore be mounted on any type of door, allowing customers to enjoy the utmost freedom of design. Many hinges, such as those in the 2800 and 2900 series, are designed to be easily adjusted on the three axes by tightening or loosening specific screws. This guarantees the highest versatility and simplifies adjustments for workers, who can therefore intervene effortlessly and risk-free.
- Pressure-relief valves: Intertecnica pressure-relief valves are available in 7 different series, and can be installed on any type of panel, regardless of the thickness. The G-Zero PR valve certainly stands out among the various types of valves. This is a patented solution from Intertecnica that guarantees excellent performance and durability. The valves in this series have the unique feature that they can be installed on either the walls or ceiling of the cold room, without affecting their performance in any way. In addition, thanks to the 'zero gravity' paddle system, the valve requires no calibration or adjustment. It also has particularly high performance, since the paddles are not subject to displacement in the presence of air currents, which improves the seal of the valve and eliminates the risk of ice.
- Sliding systems: Intertecnica also offers state-of-the-art solutions for sliding doors with 5 different series of products in addition to the IK8000, IK8100 and IK8200 series of lever handles, fixed handles, locks and automation kits. Sliding systems are available for small manual doors as well as larger, heavier, mechanically operated doors, and can therefore meet all kinds of needs.
- Accessories and profiles: Intertecnica has also developed 11 series of accessories to complete the range. These include gaskets, locks, fixed handles and profiles. The products are designed to guarantee excellent performance in all temperatures, without overlooking aesthetics and design.
Intertecnica Kits
To get the best out of Intertecnica components in terms of performance and adjustments, Intertecnica offers pre-assembled kits containing Intertecnica's best-selling products, each of which is intended for a specific door type to meet any particular need:
- Kit for semi-rebated doors: This kit combines 7000 series fasteners (one of Intertecnica's highest-performance products complying with the requirements of CE standard EN 179/2008) and 2800B series hinges made of a high-strength composite material.
- Kit for overlapping doors: This kit includes 5000AB series fasteners and 2900 series hinges. Fasteners in the 5000 series (CE certified to EN 179/2008) are distinguished by a patented adjustment system on the latch to automatically compensate for any possible displacement of the door from the frame, while ensuring that the fastening system catches. In this way, the door self-adjusts in the event of displacements in the order of 3–4 millimetres, to maintain a perfect cold seal.
- Kit for flush doors: Intertecnica has developed a number of products specifically designed for flush doors, such as the 7000F series of handles (a patented solution certified to CE EN 179/2008) and the 2800F series of hinges, both of which are included in this kit. Unique to this kit are handles and hinges made entirely of composite material, with the added possibility of installing all the various components without the need for reinforcements in the door panel. Once installed, the hinges can be easily adjusted along the three axes by means of the attachment screws, which are invisible when the door is closed.
- Stainless steel kit: As its name suggests, this kit combines some of Intertecnica's best stainless steel products, such as the 7000 INOX series of handles (the technology of Intertecnica's iconic 7000 fastener but with an AISI 304 stainless steel cover) and the 2300 series of stainless steel hinges. These components are ideal for installation on stainless steel doors, such as those used for blast chillers.
- Small door kit: Intertecnica has prepared a dedicated kit for reach-in cabinets that includes 790 series handles and 302 series hinges. These components are made of chrome-plated or painted Zamak, and the handles are available in versions with or without keys. In addition, the handles can be completed with different types of levers, also potentially made of plastic, to find the best combination of materials to meet specific needs.
- Extremely low temperature door kit: This kit — new for 2023 — is designed to meet the needs of customers who design doors with particularly high performance in terms of low-temperature resistance (such as doors for blast chillers or very large cold rooms). Given these special requirements, this kit includes our 6000 series rotating fastener, the most advanced Intertecnica fastener ideal for high-performance applications, and the 2800 series of hinges.
- Kits for sliding doors: Finally, Intertecnica offers 5 sliding door kits (SE12 - SM20X - SM20WT - SM20WP - SM20DWT) suitable for single- or double-leaf doors, either manually or electronically operated and of different weights. The kits combine four types of lever handles, two types of lock and various profiles (PVC for the frame, aluminium for the door panel), as well as gaskets designed specifically for sliding doors. The handles can be either side-mounted (IK 8000 series) or pass-through (IK 8100 and 8200 series) and are very versatile and easy to assemble. They consist of a tubular stainless steel structure covered with reinforced composite material.
